Students of Global Politics at SL and HL study four common compulsory units:

 

  • Power, Sovereignty and International Relations

  • Peace and Conflict

  • Human Rights

  • Development

​

In addition, HL students are also required, through a case studies approach, to explore two HL extension topics (global political challenges). The HL extension topics are:

 

  • Environment

  • Poverty

  • Health

  • Identity

  • Borders

  • Security

​

SL students have a total of 150 teaching hours and HL students have 240 teaching hours.
